VoyageHacks (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect and how it is used.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal information to read our content. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as pages viewed and approximate region) to understand how the site is used and improve it.
Cookies and analytics
We may use privacy-friendly analytics (for example Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled) to measure traffic, along with advertising and affiliate-tracking tools. These set cookies in your browser.
Non-essential cookies (advertising, conversion and analytics) are only loaded after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit: reject and they never run. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the site footer, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings.
Affiliate links
Many links on VoyageHacks are affiliate links. When you click them and complete a booking or purchase, our partners may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. The partners we work with are Booking.com (through CJ Affiliate), Amazon (through Amazon Associates), Travelpayouts and its merchants (Airalo, Yesim, Saily, EconomyBookings, QEEQ, Localrent, Kiwitaxi, Welcome Pickups, GetTransfer, AirHelp and others), GetYourGuide, NordVPN and American Express. These partners may set their own cookies to attribute the referral; please review their respective privacy policies.
The MCP server
VoyageHacks runs a public MCP server for AI assistants at https://voyagehacks.com/mcp (see the MCP server page). It requires no authentication and no account, so we do not know who you are when you use it.
- What it receives. The tool arguments your assistant sends (for example a search query, a city, travel dates or a free-text trip description) and the ordinary metadata of an HTTPS request: IP address, user agent and the country Cloudflare derives from the connection.
- What it does with them. Arguments are used to search our published guides and to build search URLs, in memory, for the duration of that one request. The IP address is used for a short-lived in-memory rate-limit counter that resets within a minute.
- What it stores. Nothing. The server is stateless: there is no database, no account, no session and no request log written by us. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, keeps its own standard edge request metadata under its privacy policy.
- What it never does. It does not read your chat history, conversation summaries, memory or files, it does not ask for personal data, and it never asks for payment details, credentials, health data or identity documents. Do not send personal information in tool arguments; nothing in the tools needs it.
- Affiliate tracking. Links returned by the tools carry our affiliate identifiers. Tracking begins only if you click one, and it happens on the partner’s site under their privacy policy, not ours. Reporting from those partners is aggregate, per link, and does not identify you.
Third-party services
Some pages embed interactive tools (such as flight price calendars) provided by our partners. These services may process limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) to display the widget.
Pinterest API
VoyageHacks uses the Pinterest API to publish and manage pins for our own VoyageHacks content. VoyageHacks is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Pinterest.
If you connect a Pinterest account to VoyageHacks for API testing or publishing, we use Pinterest-derived data only to complete the requested Pinterest API action, such as reading boards or creating pins. If the Pinterest connection is removed or access is revoked, we stop using the token and delete stored Pinterest access tokens and Pinterest-derived operational data that is no longer needed for security, audit, or legal purposes.
We do not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data with third parties.
Your rights
Depending on your location (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), you have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
